BIG Idea

“God can be fully known only through the pages of Scripture.”

There is only one and true God. He is the Creator of all things. From the creeping and crawling bugs on the ground, to the highest mountain you can imagine, to all the stars and planets in space, God is their Maker – even the Maker of you and me! Amazingly, He has revealed Himself to us, so that we might worship Him, enjoy Him, and live for Him. He has done so, specially, in the pages of the Bible. May God help us to know Him more and more each day by finding Him in Scripture!

Weekly Bible Passage and Monthly Memory Verse

Weekly Bible Passage: Psalm 86

Monthly Memory Verse: “For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.” (Romans 14:7-8)

Prayer (ACTS Method)

These are ways to pray in light of the truth learned this week. Of course, pray for other things as a family!

·      Adoration: Praise God for who He is as the Creator of all things.

·      Confession: Confess sins, like rebellion and pride, when we live as though He is not our Creator.

·      Thanksgiving: Thank God that He is a kind and good Creator and that He has revealed Himself to us in the Bible.

·      Supplication: Ask God for grace to submit and to serve Him as our Creator.
