Question #1
Q. What is our only hope in life and death?
A. That we are not our own but belong to God.

BIG Idea
“Certain hope is found only in relationship with God through Jesus Christ.”
We are rescued from the bad things that we have done and its punishment (sin and Hell) only by the undeserved kindness found in Jesus alone (grace). His life, death, and resurrection are what saves us and brings us into a right relationship with God the Father. The amazing truth is that this is received by faith, and not by earning it through good behavior! Because of this message (the Gospel), we now have an eternal hope, knowing that we belong to God.
Weekly Bible Passage and Monthly Memory Verse
Weekly Bible Passage: Romans 14:7-12
Monthly Memory Verse: “For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.” (Romans 14:7-8)
Prayer (ACTS Method)
These are ways to pray in light of the truth learned this week. Of course, pray for other things as a family!
· Adoration: Praise God for the hope of the Gospel.
· Confession: Confess sins, like unbelief and self-righteousness, that contradict this hope.
· Thanksgiving: Thank God for His Word that reveals this hope to us.
· Supplication: Ask God for the salvation of your little ones and for maturation in the home in light of the hope of the Gospel.
