When you walk into the building on a Sunday morning, it is like arriving at a family gathering. The atmosphere is comfortable and casual, the people are warm and welcoming, and the reason for coming together is driven by relationship. Our desire to be in authentic relationship with God and each other shapes the morning.
People linger in the Forum (Welcome Center) before the service begins for coffee and conversation, catching up with old friends, and introducing themselves to new ones. There is a fluidity to the environment with individuals moving at their own pace into the auditorium for worship. It is a sacred and celebrated time of praying, singing praise, hearing the Word, and receiving the Lord’s Supper. There is both a familiarity and spontaneity in the rhythms of the morning. Because our worship takes on a blended style in a multigenerational context, it is an affirmation that we are indeed many members, but one family – the family of God.
