BIG Idea
“A right response to God is to glorify him with obedient, thankful, and trusting lives.”
As we learn and know more about God, it is most appropriate to glorify Him in response. Because he is supreme and holy, he deserves praise, honor, and worship. Although he does not need to be worshipped to be glorious, he has, wonderfully, given us the privilege to adore him as the great God he is! One way that we can do this is by obeying him - that is, keeping his commandments. God is glorified when his people follow his law! Another way to glorify God is by being thankful. In seeing the Lord for who he is, we come to understand that all things (yes, every good and perfect gift!) have come from his hand; therefore, we should be full of gratitude! Finally, we can glorify God by trusting him. In Christ, he has given us many promises, including the hope of salvation! God delights when Christians take him at his word and believe what he has promised us. Let us press on to know and glorify the Lord!

Prayer (ACTS Method)
These are ways to pray in light of the truth learned this week. Of course, pray for other things as a family!
· Adoration: Praise God for being altogether self-sufficient. Praise him for not needing our praise, yet invites us to praise and glorify him.
· Confession: Confess the sin of idolatry, where we enjoy the gifts that God has given more than God himself.
· Thanksgiving: Thank God for grace - that he forgives us of our idolatry and invites us to enjoy him forever!
· Supplication: Ask God for grace to grow as worshippers, giving him glory for all things.
