Q. Why must the Redeemer be truly God?

A. That because of his divine nature his obedience and suffering would be perfect and effective.

“Only God himself is capable of redeeming humanity.” 

Weekly Bible Passage and Monthly Memory Verse

Passage: Acts 2:22-41

Monthly Memory Verse: “5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. 7 For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.” (1 Timothy 2:5-7)

Prayer (ACTS Method)

These are ways to pray in light of the truth learned this week. Of course, pray for other things as a family!

·      Adoration: Praise God for his eternal power and perfections.

·      Confession: Confess that we are weak and impotent to save ourselves.

·      Thanksgiving: Thank God that Jesus rose from the dead for our justification.

·      Supplication: Ask God for the salvation of our family and friends, that they would trust Christ as the Redeemer.
